Room 13 - Food Festival Preparations and Promotional Video

This is the bunting we have been busy making for our Senior Syndicate Salad booth, for the upcoming Sunnybrae International Food Festival.

Food Festival - Salad Bar Developments

Today we starting designing and creating our salad bar for the Food Festival using old pallets. We also did a taste test our Orzo Salad based on Mrs Stewart's recipe.  So now we can tell our customers about the ingredients and how it tastes. The salad was so good that we came back for seconds! Thank you Mrs Stewart for the recipe, Mrs Gordon for making the salad, and Mrs Anderson for helping serve it up to our class!

 

Swimming Sports

What a wonderful morning for our Swimming Sports. While we didn't win the overall points tally we did win the student relay race. It was also great seeing students verse their parents/family members in the final race! It was a close one but the students still managed a win against the adults. Another highlight was the free swim at the end!

My Dream Car - Toyota Dream Car Competition

Wow! A trip to Japan and an iPad mini for free... All I have to do is win! Yesterday we sent in our drawings of our Toyota Dream Car. Two weeks ago Mr Gordon read out a letter to join a competition to design your 'dream' car. We were very excited to join the competition so after school we rushed home and started to draw our dream car. As soon as the next day,  some students gave Mr Gordon their drawings of their 'dream' car and some other students who wanted to compete too handed them in this week.

 Oh no! Mr Gordon sent our parents a reminder message that we need to fill in an entry form so it was ready to be dropped off to our local Toyota Dealer by Thursday! Straight away we printed our entry forms and completed them. Finally, Mr Gordon can drop off our entries for competition which closes on Friday (today) at lunchtime.
