Welcome Miss Barlow

Welcome to Room 13 Miss Barlow
When we were playing hockey this morning a wonderful rainbow appeared and we thought it was the ideal opportunity to take a class picture and welcome our new student teacher Miss Barlow.

Cool Books For Boys

Easy Blog Photo
Last night we held our Cool Books for Boys Evening. Our goal for the evening was to get boys switched onto reading and to read regularly. We had two guest speakers - author, illustrator, and story teller Stu Duval and our local librarian Lisa Dam who shared some cool books with us. All the boys that attended went into the draw to win a book and we also had the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of one of Stu Duval's books. It was a fun evening!

Hockey Session

This morning was a great morning for a hockey session. We did some drills and games such as 'Red light, Green light' and 'Rob the Nest' that helped develop our hockey skills and confidence.

What is a Nogard?

What is a Nogard? Well, a Nogard is a imaginary creature and you had to listen carefully to visualise and create it. To make this Nogard we had to listen to some instructions like what the shape of the body, head, feet, eyes, eyebrows, claws, nostrils, neck and tail and even what colours it was in different seasons. People in my class did well. It was interesting to see how the various Nogard pictures ended up in different shapes and sizes fat and tall long and skinny.

This is what we heard about the Nogard.

This is what we visualised and drew based on what we heard.
